The second day of the international rowing regatta "President Cup-2025", dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, has come to an end.
Idman.biz reports with reference to Azertac.az that kayak-canoe and academic competitions took place at various distances at the regatta organized in the "Kur" Olympic Training and Sports Center in Mingachevir.
In the first race of the day, Alimurad Hajizade (2011-2012) won a bronze medal in a single kayak boat over a distance of 500 meters. In the same distance, the pair Alimurad Hajizade (2009-2010) and Mustafa Valizade/Elmir Tarverdiyev (2011-2012) took second place, and the pair Sanan Jafarzade/Tahir Movsumov (2011-2012) took third place. Nurlan Pashayev (2006-2007) won a silver medal in academic rowing.
On the first day of the tournament, Azerbaijani rowers won three bronze awards.
It should be noted that the regatta will end on May 2.
