The winners of the "Baku Marathon 2025", held on the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, have been determined.
Idman.biz reports that the winner of the men's race in the marathon, held under the slogan "Conquer the wind", was Turkish Atac Sezgin.
Russian Vitali Shafar crossed the finish line second. The bronze medal was won by another representative of Turkey, Murat Emekdar.
In the women's competition, Ukrainian Natalya Semenovich reached the finish line the fastest. Anna Yusupova, representing Azerbaijan, came second, and Japanese athlete Eriko Soma came third.
The winners will be awarded cash prizes and medals.
It should be noted that about 28,000 participants registered for the marathon.
