Vugar Ahmadov has been elected President of the Azerbaijan Aquatics Federation for the next 4 years.
Idman.Biz reports that the general meeting of the Azerbaijan Aquatics Federation was held in the administrative building of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The event started with the national anthem. Speaking at the meeting, the Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov welcomed the participants and wished them success.
After the agenda of the meeting was approved, the Secretary General of the Federation Farhad Aliyev made a speech and presented a report on the work done in the Federation during 2022–2026.
Then, the issue of reorganization of the federation by joining the "Azerbaijan Sailing Federation" Public Union to the "Azerbaijan Aquatics Federation" Public Union was put to a vote and approved. Also, the Statute of the "Azerbaijan Aquatics Federation" Public Union was adopted in a new edition by voting.
After that, elections were held for the leadership of the federation. According to the results of the voting, Vugar Ahmadov was elected President of the federation for the next 4 years. Vugar Ahmadov expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him and emphasized that as a result of the merger of the federations, a larger and more unified sports organization was formed.
According to the results of the voting, Kamil Huseynov, Farid Amirov and Namig Orujov were elected vice-presidents of the federation, and Farhad Aliyev was elected executive vice-president. Rahman Khanlarov and Burcu Algon Giorgianni were elected members of the Board of Directors. Later, elections were also held for the Supervisory and Audit Commission. Arif Lazimzade was elected chairman, and Vusal Gurbanov and Elvin Heydarov were elected members.
Finally, the Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee Chingiz Huseynzade congratulated the newly elected leadership of the federation and wished them success in their future activities.
