Vladislav Heraskevych, a member of the Ukrainian national team, has been stripped of his accreditation for the 2026 Winter Olympics.
Idman.Biz reports that this was due to the athlete using a helmet during training with images of athletes who died in military operations. The International Olympic Committee stated that this violates the articles of the Olympic Charter restricting political propaganda.

According to reports, despite the organization's warning, Heraskevych competed in the next runs with the same helmet. As a result, his accreditation was revoked as a disciplinary measure.
Following the decision, additional information regarding the athlete's future status in the competition is expected to be announced later.
