Today, the opening ceremony of the "Victory Tournament" in archery was held at the Azerbaijan Sports Academy Stadium.
Idman.Biz reports that Farid Khalilov, Secretary General of the Azerbaijan Archery Federation, speaking at the ceremony, noted that the tournament plays an important role in increasing the level of preparation of young archers and in the fight for licenses for the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games.
After the opening, the qualifying shots of the competition started. On the first day of the tournament, the 1/16, 1/8 and 1/4 stages were completed for girls, and the 1/8 and 1/4 stages were completed for boys.
Tomorrow, the semi-final matches will be held in both categories.
Semi-finalists for girls: Fatima Nabiyeva, Ksenia Butrik, Sumeyya Badalli, Nilufer Agamammadli.
Semi-finalists for boys: Nurlan Rahimli, Sardar Veliyev, Islam Ismayilov, Zahid Kazimzade.
The finalists will be determined after the semi-final stages.
