The closing ceremony of the 25th Winter Olympic Games is being held in Italy. The spectacular show called "Beauty in Motion" was organized in the ancient "Arena-di-Verona" amphitheater in Verona.
İdman.Biz reports that famous rapper Achille Lauro, DJ Gabry Ponte, the "Arena di Verona" foundation choir and ballet artist Roberto Bolle are performing at the ceremony. The program includes the athletes' parade, speeches by the President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and officials, extinguishing the Olympic torch and handing over the flag to the next host country.
Azerbaijan was represented by two athletes in this prestigious competition - alpine skier Anastasia Papatoma and figure skater Vladimir Litvinsev. They carried the flag of our country at the closing ceremony.
It should be noted that the ceremony, accompanied by theatrical performances, symbolizes the official end of the winter sports festival.

Our country was represented by two athletes in this prestigious competition. Our 18-year-old athlete Anastasia Papatoma in slalom finished her first descent in 59th place. According to the results of the second stage, she finished the Olympics in 51st place among 95 participants.
Our experienced athlete Vladimir Litvintsev, in the short program scored 63.63 points and finished last among 29 participants. With this result, he stopped competing without being able to advance to the free program stage.
It should be noted that Norway is in the first place in the medal standings. The team has so far won 40 (18 gold, 11 silver, 11 bronze) awards.
