Idman.biz, citing AZERTAC, reports that this was stated by Vasif Salimov, the Azerbaijani representative who won a gold medal in the taekwondo competitions held in Mingachevir within the framework of the III CIS Games.
The athlete, who rose to the highest step of the podium in the 68 kg weight category, said he was happy with the result: "Raising the Azerbaijani Flag to the top is a great pride. I came here for a gold medal. I achieved my goal. I thank everyone who has worked hard on me. My future goal is to win the Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 2028."
It should be noted that the III CIS Games, in which a total of 1624 athletes from 13 countries participate, will end on October 8.
