Raven Saunders, a silver medalist at the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics from the USA, has been disqualified.
"Report" reports with reference to the US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) that the 29-year-old athlete has received a 2.5-year ban.
This was due to her violation of anti-doping rules. The athlete failed to provide whereabouts information three times in 2024. Her sentence will be calculated from December 2024. All awards she won after that time have also been revoked.
It should be noted that Raven Saunders won a silver medal in shot put at the Olympics held in Tokyo, the capital of Japan.
