The UN General Assembly has called on all warring parties to observe a genuine, mutual ceasefire during the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina.
Idman.Biz reports that the corresponding appeal was made by the President of the UN General Assembly, Annalena Baerbock, at its 80th session.
The proposed truce covers the Winter Olympics, which will be held from February 6 to February 22, and the Paralympic Games, which will be held from March 6 to March 15, and the week before and after each of these events.
