Azerbaijani athletes continue to compete at the Universiade held in the Rhine-Ruhr region of Germany.
Idman.biz's correspondent, who was sent to Germany, reports that competitions in rhythmic gymnastics, tennis, table tennis and swimming will be held today.
After the first day in all-around, the Azerbaijani team is the leader in the group competition. Today, the team consisting of Laman Alimuradova, Gullu Agalarzade, Darya Sorokina, Kamilla Aliyeva and Yelizaveta Luzan will perform with three balls and two hoops.
In individual all-around, Ilona Zeynalova and Kamilla Seyidzade will continue their performances. They will demonstrate compositions with clubs and ribbon.
The next matches of the group stage will be held in table tennis. Our women's team consisting of Khadija Abilzade, Nigar Mahmudova, Sabina Mammadova and Zemfira Mikayilova will face the USA.
The men's team, which includes Amin Oruczade, Nihad Samadzade and Tural Mirzayev, will test its strength with Chile.
Tennis player Kenan Gasimov will have his first match at the Universiade. His opponent will be Trevor Solomon Kazibve (Uganda).
In swimming competitions, Fatima Alkaramova will compete in the 400-meter mixed style. Nihad Yusubov and Rashad Aliguliyev will compete in the 100-meter backstroke. Said Hamidov will swim 200 meters in the mixed style.
