The Azerbaijani people are very friendly towards foreign athletes.
This was stated by Kazakh swimmer Taisiya Korotkova in an interview with the Western Bureau of "Report".
She commented on winning a silver medal in the 400m individual medley at the 3rd CIS Games:
"The competition was held in a tense struggle. I couldn't win a gold medal this time. But I will achieve it next time. I always love to learn. I won 9 medals and I'm happy about that. I was preparing for the 3rd CIS Games 3 months in advance. Here I met Azerbaijani athletes, I learned certain things from them. The Azerbaijani people are very friendly to foreign athletes".
It should be noted that the swimming competitions, which started on September 28, ended today.
