An awarding ceremony for sports volunteers was held in the administrative building of the National Olympic Committee (NOC).
According to Idman.Biz, citing the NOC press service, the ceremony was attended by the committee's vice-president Farid Mansurov, head of the sports department Hasanaga Rzayev, head of the international programs department Anar Bagirov, volunteers, students and athletes.
Farid Mansurov noted that Azerbaijan successfully hosts international sports events and paid special attention to the role of volunteers in these competitions. He emphasized that the support of volunteers is needed in every large-scale sports event, and noted the importance of further strengthening the volunteer policy in the country.
Hasanaga Rzayev noted that the volunteer program project is promising for the future and thanked them for their activities and support.
Anar Bagirov considered the role of volunteers in large projects in every country of the world to be indispensable and wished them success in their future activities.
The volunteers who spoke later talked about their experiences and expressed their gratitude to the organizers of the event.
In the end, all volunteers were presented with certificates and gifts, and a commemorative photo was taken.
