US rapper Snoop Dogg has been appointed to the honorary coach position, created for the first time in the history of the US team.
Idman.Biz reports that the information was released by the US Olympic and Paralympic Committee.
The committee stated that this position is carried out on a voluntary basis and aims to support and motivate US athletes outside of competitions.
In the organization's statement, Snoop Dogg was also referred to as "Coach Snoop". He will join the "Team Behind the Team" initiative, which brings together experts and staff who help athletes on their Olympic journey.
It is noted that the appointment took place in preparation for the 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in Milan and Cortina.
Snoop Dogg previously actively supported US athletes at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
