This morning, the second group of Azerbaijani athletes departed for Germany to participate in the Universiade.
Idman.biz reports that the rhythmic gymnastics and taekwondo teams flew to Istanbul on a transit flight, from where they will travel to Düsseldorf.
At the Universiade, which will be held in the Rhine-Ruhr region of Germany, Azerbaijani athletes will compete in 12 sports: athletics, badminton, archery, beach volleyball, rhythmic gymnastics, taekwondo, kayaking and canoeing, swimming, table tennis, tennis, judo, and fencing.
It should be noted that within the framework of the multi-forum, which will be held from July 16-27, a total of 234 sets of medals will be contested in 18 sports.
