Para-swimmer Raman Salei, who won four medals at the World Championships in Singapore, will represent Azerbaijan with dignity at the 2028 Paralympics.
The 31-year-old athlete made a statement about this to "Report".
He shared his thoughts about the World Cup, where he stood on the podium four times:
"Overall, I rate my performance well. But I always try to develop more. Because I always want it. Like every athlete, I went to the competition to win a medal. I was expecting to win three awards, but there were 4".
R.Salei also spoke about the Summer Paralympic Games to be held in the USA in 2028:
"I can only say one thing about the goals. There are still three years until that tournament. Therefore, it is difficult to make predictions. But I know one thing for sure, I will represent Azerbaijan with dignity".
It should be noted that Raman Salei finished the World Championship with 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals. The three-time Paralympic champion, competing in the S12 category, won gold in the 100m backstroke, silver in the 50m freestyle, bronze in the 100m butterfly and bronze in the same distance freestyle.
