The International Paralympic Committee has banned Ukrainian athletes from wearing uniforms depicting a map of the country at the 2026 Paralympic Games in Italy.
Idman.Biz reports that this was announced on March 2 by Valeriy Sushkevych, President of the National Paralympic Committee of Ukraine.
According to him, the parade uniform prepared for the team was deemed "political" by the International Paralympic Committee and was not approved.
"We prepared a parade uniform, not a sports uniform, for our team. The International Paralympic Committee stated that such a uniform would not be allowed," V. Sushkevych emphasized.
It should be noted that the Winter Paralympic Games will last from March 6 to 15.
