An event dedicated to the 131st anniversary of the establishment of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) called "Olympic Day" was held.
Idman.biz reports with reference to Telegraf that athletes, schoolchildren, officials and media representatives participating in the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) attended the event organized by the National Olympic Committee (NOC) in the Antenna Park located in the Narimanov district.
After the opening ceremony, the winners of EYOF 2025 were presented. The vice-president of the NOC, Chingiz Huseynzade, made a speech and conveyed his congratulations to the winners.
An relay race and tug-of-war competitions were also held within the framework of the event. The winners were presented with cups and medals by the vice-presidents of the institution, Farid Mansurov and Zemfira Meftahatdinova.
In the end, a souvenir photo was taken and the event continued with an artistic part.
It should be noted that the competition was organized within the framework of the Olympic movement with the support of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Baku City Executive Authority, TABIB, Baku City Main Police Department, park employees, and the Wrestling and Athletics Federation of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
