Azerbaijani representative Nurlan Pashayev, who took third place in the "Turkestan Cup" in academic rowing held in Kazakhstan, aims to win a gold medal at the III CIS Games.
The athlete gave an interview to "Report" about this.
He shared his thoughts on winning a bronze medal in the tournament in Kazakhstan:
"I prepared strongly for this competition. Our trainings were held twice a day, morning and evening. Our morning training was in the water. In the evening, we worked technically in the hall. Since there was no age category in this tournament, I competed with older people. Nevertheless, I showed a successful result and won a bronze medal."
Nurlan Pashayev also spoke about his goals in his career:
"My future goal is to win a gold medal at the European, World Championships, and the Summer Olympic Games and raise the flag of Azerbaijan even higher. We are also preparing very strongly for the upcoming CIS Games. Our goal is to win a gold medal in this competition. Trainings are constantly continuing. We believe that we will show good results there as well."
