The "Baku Marathon – 2025" was held again on May 4 under the slogan "Conquer the Wind" at the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
İdman.biz reports that the Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov also participated in the race.
He shared a photo on his social network account about this and wrote "My fourth 21 km".
The marathon, which has been traditionally held since 2016 and the starting and finishing point of which is located in the State Flag Square, covered the Seaside Boulevard, as well as the central streets and avenues of the capital and was a total of 21 km.
It should be noted that Turkish Atac Sezgin was the first among men, Ukrainian Vitali Shafar was the second, and another representative of Turkey, Murat Emekdar, was the third.
In the women's competition, Ukrainian Natalya Semenovich reached the finish line the fastest. Azerbaijani athlete Anna Yusupova was second, and Japanese athlete Eriko Soma was third.
