Mikhail Shaidorov will receive $250,000 and the "Barys" Order for the Olympic victory

Kazakhstani figure skater Mikhail Shaidorov will receive $250,000 for his victory at the Milan Olympics.

Idman.Biz reports this with reference to Sports.kz.

In addition, the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, will award the figure skater the "Barys" Order of the Second Degree.

Shaidorov is the first figure skater from Kazakhstan to become an Olympic champion. In 2014, his compatriot Denis Ten won a bronze medal.
