Canadian national hockey team forward Mark Stone shared his impressions after the 1:2 (overtime) defeat against the USA in the Olympic final.
Idman.Biz reports that the Canadian team outshot their opponent 42:28, but failed to score the decisive goal.
Stone noted: "I think our team played very well. It was one of our best games of the tournament, we practically controlled the game, we just couldn't score an extra goal. It's very bad. Really bad".
It should be noted that the overtime was held in the "3×3" format. Jack Hughes scored the golden goal for the USA team in the second minute, and his team became the Olympic champion. Canadian hockey players won silver medals, and the Finnish team won bronze medals.
