Lindsey Vonn, 41, an American alpine ski racer, 2010 Olympic champion and two-time world champion, shared about her third surgery after a bad fall during downhill at the Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo.

"Had my 3rd surgery today and it was a success. Success has a totally different meaning to me today than it did a few days ago. I’m making progress and even though it’s slow, I know I’ll get there.
Grateful for all the incredible medical staff, friends and family that have been by my side, as well as the outpouring of love and support from people all over the world.
Also, shout out to my teammates and all the athletes on the US team competing now; they are giving me inspiration and a reason to cheer them on", Vonn wrote on social media.
