Lindsey Vonn, considered a legend of world alpine skiing, continues to amaze everyone after a terrible accident at the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics. The athlete, who faced the danger of losing her leg in the incident on February 8, has already returned to light training.
İdman.Biz reports that 40-year-old Vonn, who suffered complex fractures in her left leg and torn knee ligaments as a result of the accident, underwent five major surgeries in just one month. Doctors told her that there was a risk of amputation of her leg due to increased pressure inside the muscle.
In a video shared on her social network account, the athlete demonstrated that she has started rehabilitation training in the gym, although she is still unable to walk completely normally.
"Even though there are some difficult moments, I am still grateful and working hard. My only goal is to recover," she noted.
