Lindsey Vonn, the 2010 Olympic champion and two-time world champion, was evacuated by helicopter from the track after a serious fall during the downhill race at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan.
Idman.Biz reports that the 41-year-old American athlete was unable to get up after the incident, and the race was therefore stopped.

While covering the distance, Vonn caught on the flag, after which she spun in the air and fell hard on the slope. During the broadcast, Vonn was heard crying and screaming in pain.

It is reported that the athlete started with a previous injury to the anterior cruciate ligament of the knee.

Let us remind you that at the end of January, Lindsey Vonn also fell during the super-giant slalom at the World Cup stage in Kran Montana, Switzerland. At that time, a medical examination revealed a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament, bone contusion, and meniscus injury in the left leg.
