A momentous day for Javier Zanetti, vice-president of Italian club "Inter." Sport24.az reports that on February 3, the Argentinian football official was among those carrying the Olympic torch as part of the Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics.
Zanetti participated in the 58th stage of the Olympic Flame. The torch's journey will conclude with the opening ceremony in Milan on February 6.
The day's stage ended on the shores of Lake Como. After the Olympic cauldron was lit in Piazza Cavour, Zanetti carried the torch to Cernobbio. The torch then continued its journey along the lake on the historic "Patria" ferry.
It should be noted that in the coming days, "Inter" head coach Cristian Chivu will also be among those carrying the Olympic torch.
