The International Olympic Committee (IOC) will not hold the Esports Olympics, which were planned to be held in 2026 or 2027.
Idman.Biz reports, citing the IOC website, that the organization has decided to end its partnership with "The Esports World Cup Foundation".
The parties will focus on their own projects, and the International Olympic Committee plans to develop esports independently.
The Saudi Arabian fund will continue to hold the annual Esports World Cup, and in 2026 it will also organize the "Esports Nations Cup" with a prize pool of $70 million for national teams. Details of the project are currently unavailable.
