The Western Bureau of "Report" informs that this was said by Russian swimmer Maria Lakovleva, who won a gold medal at the III CIS Games, in a statement to journalists.
She said that it is gratifying to climb to the highest step of the podium:
"The result I achieved is a great experience for me in international competitions. I am very glad that I was invited here. The pool is new and it is very comfortable to swim. My impressions of the competition are good, the atmosphere is wonderful. This is my first time in Azerbaijan, it is a very beautiful country."
It should be noted that Maria Lakovleva took first place in the women's 200-meter breaststroke competition.
