Mirnazim Javadov, the senior coach of the Azerbaijani national rowing team in the kayak type, evaluated the team's results in the "President's Cup-2025" international regatta.
The "Report" employee sent to Mingachevir reports that the expert stated this in his statement to journalists.
He emphasized that they prepared well for the competition:
"We prepared well for the competition. As a result, our athletes won 3 bronze medals on the first day of the tournament. Today, we managed to add 1 silver and 1 bronze medal to our assets. We predicted in advance that our results would be high. We expect a gold medal from Elimurad Hajizade today. He will try to surpass his rivals in the 1000-meter race."
The head coach stated that they want to bring the continuation of their success to the European and world championships:
"Of course, the results we will achieve in the "President's Cup-2025" are important for us. We want to increase our strength a little more at the regatta in Mingachevir and prepare for the world and European championships."
It should be noted that Azerbaijani athletes won 1 silver and 4 bronze medals in the first two days of the competition.
