French biathlete Jeanne Richard, winner of a World Cup stage, allegedly tampered with the rifle settings of her teammate Océane Michelon at the end of the 2024/2025 season.

It is reported that Justine Breza-Bouchet caught Richard tampering with the rifle. The athlete has denied the allegations, but according to the publication, this is why she missed the first stage of summer training for the 2025/2026 Olympic season. The dispute was resolved within the French women's national team.
Another member of the French biathlon team, Julia Simon, was previously sentenced to a three-month suspended prison sentence for bank card fraud and theft from teammates. She was also fined 15,000 euros. At one of the court hearings in this case, the prosecutor of the Albertville court explained that several biathletes from the French team expressed their suspicions.
Later, the disciplinary committee of the French Ski Federation (FFS) suspended the Olympic medalist from competitions and training for six months, five of which were suspended.
