Swiss skier Franyo von Allmen won the downhill competition at the Olympic Games held in Bormio, Italy.
İdman.Biz reports, citing foreign media, that he finished in 1 minute 51.61 seconds to win the gold medal.
The race was completed in second place by Italian Giovanni Franzoni, and in third place by his compatriot Dominik Paris.
It should be noted that 24-year-old Franyo von Allmen became a two-time world champion in 2025 and won the downhill and team combined events at that tournament. Athletes competed for the first set of medals at the Olympic Games held in Italy.
The 25th Winter Olympic Games will end on February 22. A total of 116 sets of medals will be awarded.
