American figure skater Alysa Liu, a two-time winner of the XXV Winter Olympics held in Italy, has been presented with the key to the city of Oakland, California.
According to "Report", citing foreign media, 7,000 people attended the event.
The symbolic key was presented to Alysa Liu by Oakland Mayor Barbara Lee.
She called the athlete a "hometown hero" and praised her for representing Oakland on the world stage.
It should be noted that the XXV Winter Olympics were held in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy, from February 6-22. Alysa Liu won gold medals in individual and team competitions.
