The Safe Sport Commission has been established at the National Olympic Committee of Azerbaijan to strengthen the principles of safe sport and ensure independent oversight. According to Sport24.az, citing information released by the National Olympic Committee, the Chairman of the Commission has been appointed as the Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee, Azer Aliyev.
The commission includes Tahmina Tagizade, Executive Director of the Azerbaijan National Anti-Doping Agency, Khazar Isayev, Chairman of the Fair Play Commission, Farida Azizova, Chairwoman of the Athletes' Commission, and Elgun Safarov, Head of Department of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs.
It is noted that this new initiative will serve to protect the welfare of athletes, the development of children and youth in a safe environment, as well as the strengthening of sports values.
