The draw ceremony of the "President's Cup-2025" international regatta, jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Azerbaijan Canoe and Rowing Federation, has been held.
Idman.biz reports that the draw was held with the participation of local and foreign judges, as well as representatives of the teams.
The competition program in various categories has been determined based on the age groups of athletes competing in the "President's Cup-2025" and the types of rowing boats.
On April 30, the official opening ceremony of the "President's Cup-2025" international regatta and races at a distance of 200 meters will be held in Sugovushan, a beautiful corner of Karabakh. The regatta will continue on May 1-2 at the Mingachevir "Kur" Olympic Training and Sports Center. Teams will compete in various distances in kayaking, canoeing and academic rowing.
On May 2, the closing ceremony of the regatta will be held in front of the Mingachevir "Kur" Olympic Training and Sports Center. At the closing ceremony, the winners will be awarded first. Cups in kayaking-canoeing and academic rowing will be presented to their owners. Then the closing ceremony will continue with an artistic part. Various show programs, performances by well-known dance groups and a concert program will give the audience a real festive atmosphere in the artistic part. The regatta will traditionally end with fireworks.
It should be noted that the "President's Cup" regatta has been included in the official calendar plan of the European Canoe Association (ECA) for the third year in a row.
