An unpleasant incident occurred during the women's 50-kilometer ski marathon in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Russia.
Idman.Biz reports that a dog suddenly appeared in front of a group of four skiers during a downhill run, and the skiers were unable to "brake" in time.
As a result, the animal caused Arina Kusurgasheva to fall, followed by another skier, Alina Kudisova.
Kusurgasheva got up almost immediately and returned to the distance. Kudisova, however, was unable to get up for a long time and, as a result, could not continue the race; she limped severely as she left the collision site.
