Azerbaijani figure skater Vladimir Litvintsev performed very poorly at the XXV Winter Olympic Games in Italy.
This was stated by Chingiz Huseynzade, Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC), in an interview with "Report".
The official of the organization assessed the athlete's preparation for the competition:
"Vladimir Litvintsev's performance was very poor. In fact, he was ready for the competition, but something didn't work out. Apparently, he got stressed. Now we are waiting for the result of our other athlete, Anastasia Papatoma. It is impossible to make a prediction in advance, because this is the Olympics, anything is possible."
It should be noted that Azerbaijani figure skater Vladimir Litvintsev took the last place among 29 athletes in the short program with 63.63 points and stopped competing. Mountain skier Anastasia Papatoma will test her strength in giant slalom on February 15 and in slalom 3 days later.
The XXV Winter Olympic Games will end on February 22.
