Idman.biz reports that this was stated by Chingiz Huseynzade, Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee, during the voluntary blood donation campaign.
He stated that the participation of athletes in such campaigns is very important: "A healthy mind in a healthy body. We decided to invite our athletes to such events more often. Let everyone see that they not only show their strength on the sports field, but also help children suffering from thalassemia with their blood. This is truly a great event for us."
It should be noted that the mass blood donation campaign organized with the support of the National Olympic Committee (NOC), the Ministry of Health, the Republican Blood Bank and the Azerbaijan Blood Donation Development Center will continue until 16:00.
