The Canadian national ice hockey team has left the Olympic Village and moved to a five-star hotel.
Idman.Biz reports that the team's captain and goalkeeper Logan Thompson announced this.
According to him, the decision should not be considered disrespectful to anyone.
"I don't think we're doing this to offend anyone. We just want to win a gold medal and create the best conditions for ourselves to do so," Thompson told journalist Stephen Loung's blog.
The Canadian national team is in the same quartet (four teams in the same group - ed.) with the Czech Republic, Switzerland and France in the group stage. The Canadians will play their first game tomorrow - February 12.
