Austrian snowboarder Benjamin Karl has become the oldest winner in the history of the Winter Olympics.
According to "Report", the athlete achieved this by winning a gold medal in the individual parallel giant slalom competition at the XXV Winter Olympic Games in Italy at the age of 40 years and 115 days.
The athlete, who won the title of two-time Olympic champion, broke the record (40 years and 12 days) set by Norwegian Ole Einar Bjørndalen at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics.
It should be noted that B. Karl won his first Olympic championship in Beijing in 2022.
