The basketball tournament at the Los Angeles 2028 Summer Olympics will begin on July 12, two days before the opening ceremony.
Idman.biz reports with reference to FIBA that it is not yet clear whether the men's or women's tournament, or both, will start on that date.
The preliminary schedule includes three games to be held on July 12 and 13.
This change will allow the 1/4 finals to be played over two days. The bronze medal matches will be held on July 28 and 29, and the gold medal matches will be held on the 29th and 30th of the month.
It should be noted that the Olympics will end on July 30.
