Azerbaijan's flag bearers at the XVIII European Youth Summer Olympic Festival have been determined.
"Report" reports that judoka Zeyd Alasgarov (-60 kg) and taekwondo practitioner Humay Dadashova (49 kg) will carry our tricolor flag at the ceremony to be held on July 20 at the Yan Sandanski Sports Center in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia. Zeyd Alasgarov is the winner of the European Junior Judo Championship and three European Cups, and Humay Dadashova is a two-time winner of the Turkish Open Taekwondo Championship.
It should be noted that this festival, which will be held from July 20 to 26, will be held in two countries - Skopje and Kumanovo in North Macedonia, as well as Osijek in Croatia, unlike previous ones.
The Azerbaijani team will be represented in the festival with 52 (28 boys, 24 girls) athletes in a total of 10 sports.
