The "President's Cup-2025" international regatta dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev has concluded.
Idman.biz reports with reference to AZERTAC that kayak-canoe and academic competitions took place at various distances on the last day of the competition organized at the "Kur" Olympic Training and Sports Center in Mingachevir.
The Ivan Vorobyanski/Huseyn Hasanov pair (2009-2010) won silver in the 200-meter kayak race, while the Vacib Babayev/Nuran Rahimli tandem in the same age category won bronze.
In the same category, the Aziz Ahmadli/Kamal Taghiyev pair (2011-2012) took second place, while the Sanan Jafarzada/Tahir Movsumov duo (2011-2012) took third place.
The Nurlan Pashayev/Jahangir Mammadli pair (2006-2007) climbed to the second step of the podium in academic rowing.
Thus, Azerbaijani rowers completed the tournament with 14 medals. Members of the national team had previously won 1 gold, 3 silver and 5 bronze medals.
