A meeting was held with the Azerbaijani delegation within the framework of the XXV Winter Olympic Games held in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy.
"Report" reports that the Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) Chingiz Huseynzade, the Secretary General of the NOC Azer Aliyev and the President of the Azerbaijan Winter Sports Federation Fuad Naghiyev visited the Athletes' Village in Milan.
Officials met with members of the delegation residing in the Olympic Village and figure skater Vladimir Litvintsev, who represents our country. Mission head Anar Bagirov provided detailed information about the conditions created in the village, the athletes' preparation process, accommodation and nutrition.
During the meeting, the progress of preparation for the competitions was discussed, and the existing opportunities were positively evaluated. The leadership of the NOC and the federation expressed their belief that our athletes will represent our country with dignity and wished them success.
It should be noted that Azerbaijan is represented by two athletes at the XXV Winter Olympic Games - figure skater Vladimir Litvintsev and alpine skier Anastasia Papatoma.
About 3,000 athletes from 92 countries are competing in the Olympics, which will last until February 22.
