Azerbaijani badminton players have won two silver medals in two categories at the international "Future" series tournament held in Venezuela.
The press service of the Azerbaijan Badminton Federation told "Report" about this.
Ulvi Huseynov advanced to the final by defeating representatives of Venezuela, Brazil, and Mexico in the men's singles competition. Ulvi lost to an English badminton player in the gold medal match and finished the tournament with a silver medal.
Ulvi Huseynov - Leyla Jamalzade tandem, who won against rivals from Venezuela and Mexico in the mixed doubles category and advanced to the final, lost in the decisive match. Our badminton players, who lost to their Mexican rivals, won a silver medal in the mixed doubles category.
It should be reminded that our badminton players had previously won gold medals in 3 categories at the open tournament held in Venezuela.
