71 athletes from Azerbaijan will participate in the 32nd Summer World University Games, which will be held in the Rhine-Ruhr region of Germany from July 16 to 27.
"Report" reports that the Press Service of the Ministry of Youth and Sports has released information about this.
Today, the first sports delegation left for Germany for the Universiade.
The competitions will be organized in Bochum, Essen, Duisburg, Mülheim and Hagen, which are part of the Rhine-Ruhr region, as well as in the capital Berlin.
Azerbaijan will be represented in the competition in 12 sports (athletics, badminton, archery, beach volleyball, rhythmic gymnastics, taekwondo, canoe and rowing, swimming, table tennis, tennis, judo and fencing).
The opening ceremony of the tournament will take place on July 16, and the closing ceremony will take place on the 27th in Duisburg.
