The Azerbaijan National Swimming Team has completed its performance at the Islamic Solidarity Games.
Idman.Biz reports that the Azerbaijan National Swimming Team finished the competitions with 3 medals at the VI Islamic Solidarity Games held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. With this result, our team has opened a new page in the history of the Islamic Solidarity Games.
The members of our national team showed the following results:
Ramil Valizade – 200 meters butterfly – silver medal
Suleyman Ismayilzade – 1500 meters freestyle – bronze medal
Women's relay team – 4×200 meters freestyle – bronze medal
For the first time in the history of the Islamic Solidarity Games, our national swimming team wins all medals thanks to Azerbaijani-born athletes. This result is an important stage in the development of the national team and an indicator of the rise of our new generation of swimmers in the international arena.
