The Azerbaijan Championship was held jointly by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Azerbaijan Canoe and Rowing Federation.
"Report" informs that the competition was organized on February 27 at the "Kur" Olympic Training and Sports Center in academic rowing, kayak and canoe types for the first time using the handicap system. A total of 80 rowers born in 2008-2013 from Baku and Mingachevir competed in the Azerbaijan Championship. According to the regulations, participants covered a distance of 3500 meters in academic rowing in a single boat, and 2000 meters in kayaking and canoeing.
The winners were determined based on the individual time results of the athletes. The winners were awarded with diplomas and medals. Rowers who distinguished themselves in the Azerbaijan Championship will be included in the team that will participate in the "President Cup-2026" international regatta dedicated to the 103rd anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev on April 28 - May 1.
