The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has restored 10 Olympic medals lost by American swimmer Gary Hall in a fire.
"Report" reports that the awards were presented to the athlete by IOC President Thomas Bach at the organization's headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland.
The athlete lost his home, medals and many personal belongings in severe fires in California in January.
It should be noted that G. Hall is a five-time Olympic champion and three-time world champion. He won two gold medals at the Olympics in Atlanta (USA) in 1996 and Sydney (Australia) in 2000, and another gold medal at a similar competition in Athens (Greece) in 2004.
