Alpine skiers Alberto Tomba and Debora Compagnoni will light the flame of the Winter Olympics. Sport24.az reports that the "La Gazzetta Dello Sport" newspaper has published information about this.
Tomba will light it at the Arch of Peace in Milan, while Compagnoni will light it in Angelo Dibona Square in Cortina d'Ampezzo.
Both athletes are three-time Olympic champions. Tomba has won one Olympic gold medal in slalom and two in giant slalom. Compagnoni won the Super-G title and two giant slalom titles.
It should be noted that the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics will be held today. The ceremony, which will be held at the San Siro stadium, will begin at 23:00 Baku time.
