The fate of the women's hockey tournament at the Winter Olympics, which will start in Italy, is in question.
Idman.Biz reports with reference to foreign media that the reason for this is the norovirus epidemic recorded in two teams participating in the Olympics.
Most recently, a hockey player from the Swiss national team fell ill, and the entire team was quarantined in this regard.
Earlier, the virus was detected in the Finnish national team, due to which the team's game with Canada was postponed for a week.
It should be noted that the next opponent of the Canadians was supposed to be Switzerland, and most likely this match will also be postponed.
For information, let us note that norovirus manifests itself with symptoms similar to food poisoning. Nausea, diarrhea, vomiting and abdominal pain can last approximately one to three days.
