Today, the World Judo Championships among adults will start in Budapest, the capital of Hungary.
"Report" informs that three Azerbaijani judokas will compete on the first day of the competition.
Ahmad Yusifov (60 kg) will face Japanese Ryuju Nagayama in the 1/16 finals.
Leyla Aliyeva (48 kg) will face Kurbanay Kurbanova from Turkmenistan in the 1/32 finals.
Konul Aliyeva (48 kg), who will start from the 1/32 finals, will try to defeat Maria Celia Laborde, representing the USA.
It should be noted that 13 judokas (9 men, 4 women) will represent Azerbaijan in 10 weight categories in individual competitions at the World Cup. Our team will also compete in the mixed team competition.
